An empirical method for estimating surface long-wave radiation exchanges in the Qinghai-Xizang plateau.
Relationships between surface long-wave radiation and surface meteorological elements under various sky conditions were analysed. Results were presented for isothermal emissivity together with mean relative error of estimated values, mean apparent
atmospheric emissivity, total downward radiation and net long-wave radiation, using four months'data obtained by Eppley precision infared radiometer (Model RIR) set up in the Qinghai-Xizang plateau in summer. (TNC).
A study of the impact of reclamation on coastal processes in Hong Kong involves monitoring of post-reclamation changes and simulation of processes associated with a reclaimed shoreline in the wave tank. Findings reveal the role played by reclamation
in modifying current flow, tidal ventilation, littoral drift and wave pattern. How far the resultant redistribution of wave energy, locally enhanced by the presence of a typhoonal environment and coastal reservoirs, modifies the spatial pattern of erosion
This paper attempts to deduce the time-space characteristics of the monthly mean temperature anomaly during winter as an indicator of cold (or warm) waves over Yunnan Province as well as the whole of P. R. C. and to discuss their association
and the inshore structures which were not affected by sea-waves and are stratigraphically undisturbed. It seeems that the need of a higher pavement was caused by the rising sea level.
and determination of the average annual rates of the beach sediment transport. The dominantly south to southeastward direction results primarily from the oblique approach of south westward directed sea-waves and swell from the South China Sea during the NE monsoon.
