Geomorphology of the sub-AntarcticAustralianTerritory of Heard Island-McDonald Island
The geomorphology of Heard Island-McDonald Island is primarily the product of close interplay between volcanism, glaciation, and vigourous marine processes in a stormy sub-Antarctic environment. The dominant landform is the strato-volcano Big Ben
Zur Tektonik und Minerogenie Antarktikas. (On tectonics and minerogeny of the Antarctic)
Starting from the tectonical subdivision of the Antarctic and from the tectogenetical epochs, minerogenetical conclusions are done and comparisons are drawn with other southern continents. From this are resulting hints on those territories, which
the influence of ‘recognition’ in engagements between conservation and Indigenous Australians; investigating the impacts of approaches under the new paradigm such as scaling-up, territorialism and differing governance structures on Indigenous Australians

Australian Aborigines have suffered from exploitation by white Australians since the British first arrived almost two hundred years ago. Throughout this period there have been several changes in the articulation process of both modes of production
Thermal state of permafrost and active-layer monitoring in the Antarctic : advances during the International Polar Year 2007-2009
Results obtained during the International Polar Year (IPY) on the thermal state of permafrost and the active layer in the Antarctic are presented, forming part of the project ANTPAS (‘Antarctic Permafrost and Soils’). The number of boreholes
of ground temperatures in the Antarctic is greater than in the Arctic.

In Australian Quaternary studies, one of the major tasks is to date the episode of high-lake-level events prior to the last maximum and to answer whether all these lacustrine phases were simultaneously at their maxima in different climatic zones
rates measured here. At the NW Australian site, the 10Be data are complemented by measurements of in situ 36Cl in nearby limestone cuesta surfaces. These show that the hard-rock surfaces are eroding more slowly than the soils, and that relief

This paper explores the issue of territorial stigmatisation through tenant-driven research chronicling the experiences of social housing tenants as they examined and reflected upon the Australian television series Housos. It shows
