Description :
The paper deals with the aspect of bedload balance and related geomorphic processes in steep mountain torrents for some 20 catchments of affected regions. The analysis is guided by a structured representation of the bedload production and the bedload supply. Despite of remarkable differences between the single torrents, the importance of the bedload sources within the channel or very nearly has shown to be evident in every case.
