The necessary information about the existing and required potential for building land can be concentrated by using comprehensively arranged building-land cadastres and operationally structured building-land exchanges. These help to realise the promising achievements of more targeted mobilisation and of new identification of building land within the framework of a rational area-management policy on the part of the municipalities and local authorities. - (TH)
