Fluvial comminution and the production of loess-sized quartz silt. A simulation study

Description :
In this paper results are presented of a number of tumbling experiments designed to replicate conditions found in these high energy fluvial environments, both in terms of turbulent mixing and sediment characteristics. The results are compared with those from a more traditional simulation using only sand-sized debris.
