Temporal trends in annual Palmer's Drought Severity Index (PDSI) for 53 climate divisions are examined for the period 1895 to 1988 in the southeastern United States, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. This region is located in the humid sub-tropical climate zone. Climate divisions in Alabama have experienced the most consistent change towards a wetter condition.
