Description :
The early growth phase of this industry coincided on the 1970s with high unemployment and accelerated rural-urban migration. The result was a very rigid exploitation of the labour force. This situation has changed in the 1980s and 1990s. Demand for labour increased and unemployment declined, automation raised the need for skill of those hired to work in a sophisticated sector. Management practices changed with the introduction of flexible production techniques.
