Description :
P. Krugman's work has been very influential in promoting the new trade theory and the new economics of competitive advantage. According to him, international trade is driven by increasing returns and external economies and by comparative advantage. He draws on ideas from agglomeration economies to regional specialization. The AA. think that his work raises issues in the new industrial geography. But at the same time, they argue that his theory has significant limitations.
