Description :
A review of information sources for obtaining up-to-date, reliable and accessible material on new sensors for earth observation by nonscience team personnel is presented. The Earth Observing System (EOS) is used as a case study, focusing on the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) with some consideration of the High Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (HIRIS). The information sources evaluated are books, conference proceedings, technical reports, promotional literature, journal articles and electronic information. The evaluation suggests that each information has its own strengths and weakness.
