Holocene relative sea level changes along the Seattle fault at Restoration Point, Washington

Auteurs :
SHERROD, B.L.
BUCKNAM, R.C.
LEOPOLD, E.B.

Description :
In their paleoenvironmental reconstruction for the Restoration Point Marsh, the AA. see no abrupt change in relative sea level (RSL) nearly as large as the uplift during the Seattle fault earthquake 1000 cal yr B.P. However, they do infer environmental changes that could represent smaller earthquakes or, alternatively, the opening and closing of a beach berm.
