L’évaluation multi-critères de l'adéquation des sites au développement de l'énergie éolienne sur l'exemple de Rymanów (gmina polonaise)

Discussion on the very relevant and topical problem that is the development of the Polish geographical environment through the locating of wind power plants. The AA. present here the methods of analysing location criteria that are of a legal, environmental, social, technical and resource-functional nature. Factors are depicted comprehensively, together with the barriers that arise out of them, in the context of the Polish Subcarpathian gmina of Rymanów. An analysis of spatial data obtained in the form of maps, digital databases and a digital elevation model has been conducted with the help of GIS tools. Through the use of multi-criteria analysis (MCA), the above sources have given rise to a map evaluating the suitability of land for the development of wind energy, on which it proved possible to identify two areas (northern and southern) manifesting extreme values where location potential is concerned. – (BJ)
