Changes in biometeorological conditions are of special significance at health resorts. The recognition of daily cyclicity in this respect leads to more effective planning of climatic therapy at coastal sites. The purpose of the paper is therefore to analyse and evaluate daily variability to biothermal conditions in Kolobrzeg, over the period 1981-1990. The relevant calculations were based on average values for air temperature, dewpoint temperature, cloud cover, wind speed and air pressure at 0:00, 3:00, 6:00, 9:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00 and 21:00 UTC; from June to August. The evaluations of bioclimatic conditions were described by bioclimatic indices - the Subjective Temperature Index (STI), Physiological Strain (PhS), Insulation Predicted (Iclp), Maximal Activity Level (MHR) and Solar radiation absorbed by a nude man (R’). The research applied the arithmetic mean, linear regression, polynomial function and frequency of occurrence of STI and PhS over specific ranges. - (BJ)
