The article presents a typology of the behaviour of German pensioners with their own residence on the Canary Islands (Spain). The characteristics migration motivation, socio-economic status and periods of use of the pension retreat over the course of the year are taken as expressions of different aging strategies. The classification upon which the typifying takes place makes use of cluster analysis. (IFL)
