This article concerns the development of non-agricultural business in rural areas in the Świętokryskie voivodship. The author, on the basis of results of survey resaerch carried out among business owners presents opinions on the conditions of small business operation. The entrepreneurs assessment of profitability and suggested perspective of its improvement are disussed. The author also quotes the most frequently mentioned difficulties they face, and outlines prospects to their activity in the near future. - (BJ)
