Description :
Paleomagnetic data suggest that the Bolivian portion of the Gondwana supercontinent moved across the south pole during Early Silurian time to account in part for the glaciation. Tentative paleographic reconstructions indicate that seas in the Cancaniri depositional basin and the Amazon basin provided evaporation sources for nearly ice caps or sheets on the Pampean massif and on the Guiana and Brazilian shields.
