The authors attempted to build a paleogeographic synthesis and a paleoenvironment definition of the Albian formations of the Malaguids and of the Subbetic. They used sedimentologic criterion (vertical evolution, breaks of sedimentation, hardgrounds), mineralogy of the constitutive phases (carbonate, phosphatic, glauconitic and smectitic phases), geochemistry (repartition of major elements and traces, correlations with the mineralogic factors). They concluded that the two studied environments cannot be associated and were clearly separated.
