The national vertical zonation provides the basis for the altitudinal distribution of land use. Two types of agricultural districts can be roughly identified : the valley and basin district, and the valley and mountain district. The natural

En accord avec le principe à deux termes de zonation des régions d'embouchure sur la base de critères hydrologiques et morphologiques, on sépare les parties constituantes de la zone d'embouchure de la Sélenga et on détermine leurs limites.
Botanical results of the « Sino-German Joint Expedition to K2, 1986 » are presented with remarks on vegetation of SW Kashgaria, the W Kunlun Shan and the N declivity of the central Karakoram mountains. The vertical and horizontal zonation
The mangrove communities in the Arroyo Seco deltaic fan, Jalisco, Mexico, and their relation with the geomorphic and physical-geographic zonation
This work investigates mangrove tree zonation dynamics in a deltaic fan in the southwestern coast of Mexico. A hypothetical evolution that led to the formation and consolidation of the Arroyo Seco deltaic fan based on the environmental components
from the hydrographic basin is proposed. Also, the relief morphogenic types, along with their sedimentary composition, are derived from geomorphologic and edaphic diagnose methods. Finally, mangrove tree zonation, basal area and height along transects
traced parallel to the relief are related to morphogenetic types and to the water table depth during the dry period. This study highlights the importance of the water table on the survival, structure and zonation of mangrove communities.

As exemplified by the Callawaya people of Bolivia, traditional Andean agriculture arranged in a zonation of vertical belts was adapted to the climate. External social and technological changes have upset the equilibrium resulting in environmental
River meanders present the most frequent planform of lowland rivers. Their formation on poljes mostly depends on flood water regime. Flooding dictates space-time zonation of meandering processes, of which the existence of active or passive phase
