Soils and soil solutions were studied in order to assess the mobility of Al in an alpine watershed. The concept of a geochemical catena was invoked to evaluate the spatial relationships of Al and the elements that control its solubility in alpine

This paper reviews watershed-scale modeling strategies and presents the results of rainfall simulation experiments conducted on paired path and non-paths sites in highland Ecuador and East Tennessee. The results show rural roads and footpaths
to be the most active runoff-generating components of inhabited mountain landscapes and provide preliminary quantitative and qualitative bases for incorporating the runoff and erosion-initiating effects of rural roads and paths in watershed models.

This paper compares four different methods to estimate soil loss from two medium-sized, fifthorder watersheds in southeastern Minnesota. The four comparative methods are the soil-survey and soil-truncation method, gully erosion estimates, reservoir

Analytical hydraulic geometry equations are combined with a watershed model to quantify downstream trends in equilibrium fluvial morphology in gravel streams. The hydraulic geometry equations relate fluvial morphology to discharge, bedload transport
The A. has analysed bed load transport rates during rising and falling stages of two small streams (Godwin Creek Research Watershed, Nothern Mississippi, USA)
