Vegetation is the most important intermediate through which climate and land use modify geomorphological processes and landforms. In this paper the AA. explore three types of model which attempt to simulate the links to uncultivated vegetation, all
sharing a common basis in hydrology. In all cases, the model leads to a unique stable vegetation cover, irrespective of the initial conditions, but it is recognised that there may be better model parameterisations.
