with particular emphasis on the type of industry and the administrative functions.

The paper explains the main features of the organisational and structural renewal of Budapest's industry and its consequences on the urban structure. The A. concludes that parallel with the organisational transformation no essential changes can
be experienced in terms of the spatial pattern of the industry in Budapest, since the new organisational forms also have been established primarily in the traditional industrial districts of the city. - (JS)
