Flood waves and pollution events of extreme intensity occured repeatedly in the Tisza watershed between 1998 and 2001. Disasters of these years proved that human attitudes toward flood prevention and future water management have changed
significantly. This study focuses on variations of the morphological conditions in places and river sections of alluvial ridge development, as well as character, extent and trends of the registered changes along the middle section of the Tisza River. - (JS)
