The study of some thirty Scandinavian precipitation records shows that one of two stations (especially in Sweden) gives heterogeneous data during winter months. In such cases, indirect techniques allow the evaluation of annual rainfall variation
, and in spite of more or less short fluctuations, precipitations were stable over Scandinavia during more than a century. The only exceptions are located in the extreme southern Sweden and in Norwegian coastland.
