The AA. first determine summer water balance of Koryto Glacier based on field observations in 2000, and show that drainage of large quantities of stored water occurred during this summer. Then, they evaluate the relative importance of subglacially
stored water to the total storage change, and estimate the volume of contracted subglacial cavities based on measurements of vertical displacements of the glacier surface. Finally, the AA. estimate the water balance during the entire ablation season
