This paper evaluates the usefulness of the shoreline preservation index for estimating the age of late Pleistocene palaeolake shorelines. It also determines for the study area the relative influence of various factors on shoreline preservation
, and wether or not shoreline preservation varies significantly with shoreline aspect. Data for this analysis were collected from the basin of the largest late Pleistocene palaeolake in western North America, Lake Bonneville.

Shorelines of the Uppsala esker east-central Sweden : their use as indicators of regional differences in shore displacement

About 750 different shoremarks, mainly shore terraces, have been levelled along the Uppsala esker. Using various methods it has been possible to arrange the shoremarks to shorelines. It was found that the shorelines on the whole were sloping towards
the north. The shoreline studies give evidence of more pronounced regional differences in shore displacement in earlier Litorina times than those found today.

This study attempts to deduce the present and past shoreline dynamics of a small shallow lake. Gallocanta Lake is located in the central Iberian Chain, NE Spain, within a typically Mediterranean semi-arid region.
The purpose of this paper is to devise a management scheme suitable for dealing with continuous chronic shoreline erosion, consider criteria important for such management and identify the groups affected by and affecting erosion. This discussion
leads to the conclusion that there is a need to establish a shoreline management entity capable of taking a broad view of the issues involved.
