Properties of the soil surface layer, the temporal pattern of the microclimate variables as well as crop condition were combined to analyze the characteristics of the evapotranspiration from winter wheat fields in a saline soil area. The objectives
of this study are 1) to determine the characteristics of evapotranspiration in saline soils, with especial emphasis on its partition into transpiration and evaporation, and 2) to analyze the effect of soil salinity on the actual evapotranspiration.
The AA. classify 23 pedons from 6 salt marshes in SE Spain. Samples were taken under 7 different halophyte plant communities, and represent saline soils occurring under a semiarid Mediterranean climate. The results suggest imrovements to the FAO
classification best reflects the conditions of the soils and the type of plant communities in the saline areas.
Geomorfologia quantitativa e morfodinamica del territorio abruzzese : III - Il bacino idrografico del fiume Saline
Géomorphologie quantitative et géomorphodynamique des Abruzzes : III - Le bassin-versant du Saline
This work is a part of series of wide geothematic researches focussed on the contribution of quantitative geomorphology to the morphogenetic and morphostructural characterization of the Abruzzo region. The fiume Saline drainage basin is considered

This paper discusses the effects of water quality on the hydrological and erosion response of non-saline, non-sodic soils during simulated rain experiments. Two soils, a well-aggregated clay-rich soil developed on marine silty clay deposits
compaction), and the interrill erosion of non-saline, non-sodic soils are analysed.

In western Songnen Plain of China, the saline-alkaline degree of water bodies is high in salt marsh wetlands. Hydrochemical characteristics of limnic wetlands have intimate relationship with its causes of formation and element character
. This analysis is an effective way to explain the differences of element source, movement and accumulation under special conditions. This paper clarifies the movement laws of saline-alkaline components in the region, and establishes a set of a four -class
discriminant for the analysis of salt marsh water bodies. And the goal is to develop and utilize the water resources in this region reasonably by means of controlling and preventing regional salinization.
Paleoecological analyses were carried out in order to reconstruct temperature and salinity ranges and the paleo-position of the fluvial-marine front of the Río de la Plata estuary. Paleoclimatic inferences suggest possible correlations with events
and increases in salinity coincident with the drought of the late 1980s and early 1990s. In this paper the AA. infer changes in climatic conditions by using floristic changes in the diatom assemblages and associated inferences of salinity, lake level
Changes in humus resulting from up to 20 years'irrigation with slightly saline water were studied in dry steppe soils in southwest Siberia. The amounts of brown humic acids and of the Pg fraction increased with the period of irrigation
The waters off northern Iceland are subjected to extreme hydrographic variability on annual to decadal timescales. In years when cold low-salinity water moves coastward and sea ice is prevalent (i.e., the late 1960s), marine productivity of surface
