Le N de l'azote total d'une séquence de sols sur flysch (sol brun eutrophe, sol brun mésotrophe, sol brun ocreux et sol ocre podzolique) augmente de la litière (N négatif) aux horizons B et C (Nn+5/). Cette évolution est corrélée négativement avec
les teneurs en C et en N et avec le rapport C/N. Ce schéma évolutif résulterait principalement de processus d'humification qui conduisent à un fractionnement isotopique enrichissant les produits humifiés en isotope lourd.
