Le but de cette article est de présenter les principaux résultats d'une campagne de mesures au sol effectuée en quasi-synchronisme avec le passage du satellite RADARSAT. Cette campagne s'inscrivait dans le cadre du projet ADRO (039) du laboratoire
This paper begins with definitions of the basic concepts and relevant terms, continues with a review of remote sensing in habitat mapping projects and common information extraction techniques, and concludes with the description of a framework
for linking environmental information needs with remote sensing strategy through hierarchy theory and the remote sensing scene model.

The powerful sinergy between geostatistics and remote sensing went unrealized until the 1980s. Today geostatistics are used to explore and describe spatial variation in remotely sensed and ground data; to design optimum sampling schemes for image
data and ground data; and to increase the accuracy with wich remotely sensed data can be used to classify land cover or estimate continuous variables. This article introduces these applications and uses 2 examples to highlight characteristics
that are common to them all. Conclusion with a discussion of conditional simulation as a novel geostatistical technique for use in remote sensing.
Sens de la famille, sens de la communauté in Dynamiques familiales.
Un sens nouveau de la famille émerge et de ce fait s'oppose souvent aux valeurs de l'ordre communautaire ancien, réclamant un espace social nouveau. - (OC)
Remote sensing in intergovernmental programmes of ocean research and monitoring in Remote sensing : Applications in Marine and Coastal Research.
The A. describes the involvement of intergovernmental organizations in remote sensing activities : 1) IOC (Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission)| 2) IOMAC (Cooperation in Marine Affairs in the Indian Ocean| 3) ITSU (International Group
Cartography ; Geographical information system ; Remote sensing ; Thematic mapping ; Topographic map
Leading from the explanation of cartography's tasks and the technically unique cartographic view on remote sensing data, it links up to the cartographic use of the data material. The A. describes the direct and indirect applications with regard
to topographic and thematic maps and reports from various practical projects in order to illustrate the main points. Finally the future dimension of remote sensing cartography within the field of developing geographical information system (GIS) is pointed out.
