Corrélations entre la sédimentation fluviatile et la sédimentation marine littorale en Corse. in Colloque AFEQ, Paris 1983. (Relationship between the fluvialsedimentation and the coastal marine sedimentation in Corsica (Western Mediterranean)
On the western coast of Corsica, some sections are described, showing fluvial deposits passing laterally to marine sands and pebbles. In other places, fluvialsediments seem to be simultaneous with a marine regression. The coasts with fluvial
sedimentation during an interglacial (or interstadial) seem to be uplifted areas. In stable or subsident regions, fluvialsedimentation downvalley would be only during glacial or stadial period, with climatic causes. Both cases, eustatic or climatic
Variability of particle size characteristics of sheetwash sediments and fluvial suspended sediment in a small semiarid catchment, Kenya
Data for three representative storm events are described for a small 0.30 km2 erodible semiarid catchment. The mean grain size and sorting of sheetwash sediments were significantly different from fluvial suspended sediment for individual storm
events. Sheetwash sediments were coarser and more poorly sorted than fluvial suspended sediments. Enrichment radios indicated selective erosion and transport of silt and clay, and preferential deposition of sands.

This study examines the chemical properties of fluvial deposits (Entisols) of eight different rivers in the Peruvian Amazon. Factors affecting sediment geochemistry are surveyed, and comparisons are made with published statistics concerning Peruvian
Amazon floodplain sediments. The vegetational consequences of the sedimentary settings described are discussed.

The inference that flow and form are dynamically linked is in sympathy with the own conclusions of the AA. that cluster spacing is an equilibrium condition governed by the interplay of flow resistance and sediment transport.
The principal tasks of this paper are to provide estimates of total meltwater-stream sediment yields, and assess the importance of fluvial processes in modifying these yields, in order to assess the importance of fluvial processes in transporting
sediment within the alpine proglacial zone of the Bas Glacier d'Arolla, Switzerland.

Fluvialsediment budgets in the North Carolina Piedmont
Catchment area;Watershed ; Fluvial processes ; North Carolina ; Pollution ; Sediment budget ; Soil erosion ; United States
The purpose of this study is to estimate and examine rudimentary sediments budgets for four river basins in the Piedmont physiographic province of North Carolina to determine the relative magnitude and importance of sediment storage.

This paper presents the results of measurements of floodplain sedimentation using sediment traps. The study was carried out on two embanked floodplains along the Rivers Rhine and Meuse in the Netherlands during a 3 day flood in january 1993. Raster
maps of sediment accumulation were made by interpolating the measurements from the traps using block kriging. The observed patterns of sediment accumulation are related to floodplain topography and possible sediment transporting mechanisms.
This progress report reviews the research into the processes of : 1) coarse surface layers; 2) armour versus pavement; 3) bed surface structure and sediment transport; 4) imbrication; 5) small- and medium-scale gravel bedforms; 6) gravel bedforms

The aim of this paper is to describe steep mountain streams in terms of bed morphology, sediment features and sediment transport processes. Field data and observations from Mid-Wales and Eastern Alps streams are reported. Channel morphology
, particle size and shape are investigated in the sediment reaches of bedrock controlled streams. The data relative to 87 bedload samples are reported and the main results discussed in terms of sediment sorting processes.
Sediment slugs: large-scale fluctuations in fluvialsediment transport rates and storage volumes

This article presents a brief review of the origins and types of large-scale spatial and temporal fluctuations in sediment transport phenomena. The potential for using current modelling approaches to quantify the mechanisms controlling
In extremely arid, rocky, high relief watersheds, coarse fluvialsediment, if initially entrained, tends to group itself in well defined waves which move discretly downstream. Above a certain threshold determined by stream power this movement
is relatively independant of the water discharge. Data pertaining to the transport of fluvialsediment sampled in detail during a five hour long event in a small upland stream channel in the extremely arid southern Negev are presented.

L'objet de cette étude est de quantifier l'érosion des sols dans l'aire de drainage la plus importante du bassin; de déterminer le volume de sédiments retenus dans les réservoirs; et d'évaluer les effets de l'accumulation sédimentaire sur le système
