On this part of the Trans-Tisza region, due to the changing possibilities, the differences of historical development and changes in politico-geographical situation, an unsettledness and an image with full of contradiction can be found
as to the regional pattern of the settlement network. This is to find an answer whether what is the role of the centres of higher order than tertiary ones, in the concentration of population, industry and traffic and what is their potential like. (CK).
