Persistence of historic flood impact on a small sand-bed stream - Wellums Creek, New South Wales, Australia
This study demonstrates that historic flood-induced channel changes have not only occurred on major trunk rivers but in small tributary catchments as well. Another major focus is to address the relevance of not only external controls
appreciate the geomorphic change experienced in sand-bed streams of coastal New South Wales.
The Shields parameter, a dimensionless bed shear stress which can be expressed as a ratio of the slope, depth and characteristic properties of bed material in an alluvial channel, has been observed in natural rivers to take on modal values
data set on stable, perennial rivers. This new analysis reconcilies existing empirical and theoretical approaches to predict alluvial geometry.

Jones Creek, a forested sub-catchment of the Genoa River, Victoria, southeastern Australia, has experienced channel metamorphosis induced by a series of floods since 1971. The role of within-channel vegetation, large woody debris and sediment

Recent morphological evolution of the Lower Mississippi River
This study documents slope and stream power changes in the Lower Mississippi River during the pre-cutoff (1880s-1930s), and post-cutoff (1943-1992) periods. The study reach extends from New Madrid to Natchez, 900 km. The stability status
in the incoming bed material load to each reach generated by upstream channel evolution must also be considered.

control variables bedform type, reach gradient and flow depth. To test the hypothesis that velocity characteristics are related to channel bedform types, ANOVA and ANCOVA tests were performed. The bed-generated turbulence and skin friction of runs appear
by encompassing the whole basin, enabling staged sedimentary pathways to be revealed. Additionally, bed-material textures of the modern rivers and youngest La Sarra Terrace were investigated to provide further information on the geomorphic coupling of the system
. Significant impacts are made by conduits, they deliver local lithologies to the main river.
