Climatic classification of Saudi Arabia : an application of factor-cluster analysis
Arid area ; Climate ; Climate classification ; Cluster analysis ; Factor analysis ; Multivariate analysis ; Saudi Arabia
This study is aimed to be a contribution to climatic regionalization of Saudi Arabia. The data used here have been obtained from 56 meteorological stations. The results obtained by a multivariate factor-cluster analysis are compared with those
of some traditional methods. They produce richer regions and show clear climate variations within this vast country.
A study on analysis of regional energy utilization with consideration of public opinion
Analysis of public opinion about the introduction of soft energy as the energy for home use. A model of the household energy based on it. Scenario analysis of the effect. Main result : a reduction rate of household energy over 80 % and smaller

Vector analysis as a means of indicating rainfall seasonality in the Transvaal
This paper describes and evaluates the use of vector analysis for indicating rainfall seasonality. Three advantages pertaining to the use of the technique for regionalization are pinpointed.-(AJC)
The weighting method of Pj factor analysis in the assessment of environmental quality.
The method stresses the avoidance of subjective judgement in measuring the environmental value and the use of factor analysis to estimate the objective contribution of specific assessment parameters and their interrelationships. It is then possible
to interprete pollutant distribution, migration and reorganization in a regional system.-(TNC)
A regionalanalysis of the distribution of the number of employees in the Netherlands by industrial sectors and occupational groups, 1973
