For savannas, the key environmental drivers controlling vegetation productivity are water and nutrient availability, vapour pressure deficit (VPD), solar radiation and fire. Changes in these environmental factors can modify the carbon balance

analysis of the research conducted from 22 May to 12 June 2011. The distribution of daily outdoor photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) intensity, which is a spectral distribution of solar visible radiation in selected times of the day were analyzed
. Lighting conditions surrounding each subject (doses of reached energy of visible solar radiation and illumination intensity) were examined as well. Additional adaptation stress caused by different biothermal conditions (expressed by UTCI index) was also

solar irradiance, in conjunction with on-site measurements, revealed that direct insolation is the reason for (1) the predominant zonal alignment of the ice cliffs and (2) their bimodal annual recession. The former peculiarity occurs because near
the equator steep north- and south-facing slopes receive only little solar energy, which prevents strong ablation. The bimodal recession pattern is caused by the particular annual path of the sun in the tropics.
