DISTRIBUTION SPATIALE DU REVENU. UNE EXPERIENCE D'APPLICATION DE LA REGRESSION PAR PALIERS EN GEOGRAPHIE
ANALYSE DE L'ESPACE ; Géographie de l'Europe ; ITALIE ; LOMBARDIE ; METHODOLOGIE ; REGRESSION PAS A PAS ; REVENU
LA METHODE DE REGRESSION PAS A PAS (STEPWISE REGRESSION) EST APPLIQUEE A L'ETUDE DES REVENUS MONETAIRES. TROIS REGRESSIONS ONT ETE EFFECTUEES, D'ABORD AVEC TROIS GROUPES DIFFERENTS D'INDICATEURS DU REVENU, UNE SECONDE EN UTILISANT LES PREMIERES
VARIABLES RETENUES DANS LES 3 PRECEDENTES REGRESSIONS ET UNE TROISIEME, TOUJOURS AVEC CES DERNIERES, APRES AVOIR MODIFIE LES VALEURS DU Y, SUIVANT L'IMPORTANCE ET LE SIGNE DES RESIDUS.
Evaluation of human bioclimates using quantile regression : a China case study
Bioclimatology ; Cartography ; China ; Climatic index ; Clothing ; Comfort ; Human bioclimatology ; Regression analysis ; Spatial distribution ; Temperature
A nonparametric version of quantile regressions was applied to investigate the human bioclimates in China through the use of the CLO (clothing requirements) index. Quantile regression surface maps produced from the whole spectrum of the CLO
distribution provided better insights into the spatial characteristics of clothing requirements and information on the spread and variations of the distribution. Univariate quantile regression were constructed to display the temporal variability of CLO
Comparison of landslide susceptibility maps generated through multiple logistic regression for three test areas in Korea
Cartography ; Geographical information system ; LANDSAT ; Landslide ; Natural hazards ; Regression analysis ; Remote sensing ; Slope ; South Korea ; Thematic Mapper
The aim of this study was to apply, verify and compare a multiple logistic regression model for landslide susceptibility analysis in 3 Korean study areas using a geographic information system (GIS). Landslide locations were identified
the database and the logistic regression coefficient of each factor was computed. Landslide susceptibility maps were drawn for these 3 areas using logistic regression coefficients.
Defining phases of bedload transport using piecewise regression
Carrying capacity ; Colorado ; Discharge ; Fluvial dynamics ; Grain size distribution ; Linear regression ; Model ; Stream ; United States of America ; Wyoming ; Years 1990-99
The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the best-fit functions between measured bedload and discharge and provide support for the selection of a two-piece linear regression model with a distinct breakpoint that can be bounded with confidence limits
by applying bootstrapping techniques. The AA. present and demonstrate the application of the piecewise regression procedure for transport rates measured at 8 sites on the Fraser Experimental Forest near Fraser, Colorado, where 100 to 200 samples were collected
between 1992 and 1997. The piecewise regression model is evaluated further using data from 4 streams in Colorado and Wyoming.
The investigation of parameter drift by expanded regressions : generalities, and a family-planning example
The investigation of parametric drift by expanded regressions is demonstrated by an illustrative example concerned with the effectiveness of family-planning policies on the decline of fertility in the contemporary less-developed countries.
Progressive and regressive pedogenesis and complex soil evolution
The purpose of this paper is to explore temporal trends in soil development that might result from various combinations of progressive and regressive pedogenetic pathways via a simple numerical model. Implications of the model will be compared
A study of variations of diurnal suns of precipitation by means of regression analysis
The method of regression analysis is verified in variations of diurnal sums of precipitation of the summer season at 50 stations on the territory of Czechoslovakia in the years 1901-1975. The used processing shows that even considerably distance
LES CHANGEMENTS ARTIFICIELS SURVENANT DANS L'ECOULEMENT FLUVIAL, TELS CEUX CAUSES PAR LE POMPAGE DE L'EAU SOUTERRAINE, PEUVENT ETRE ETABLIS A PARTIR D'EQUATIONS DE REGRESSION SUR L'ECOULEMENT. L'EXPERIENCE FAITE SUR BON NOMBRE DE POMPAGES A MONTRE

temperature means and considers the influence of latitude in the Earth’s temperature distribution. The regression function was selected to best reflect the dependence of annual temperature mean on latitude. Several possible indices are evaluated. - (EN)
Ein Verfahren zur Aufstellung statistischer Prognosealgorithmen als Einheit von Cluster-, Diskriminanz- und Regressionsanalyse (A method for the development of statistical forecasting algorithms including cluster, discriminance and regression
The method presented by the author is used to develop a large number of predictors within a system of multiple regression equations with a series of classifications. The method includes an ideal classification, a screening discriminance analysis
and a stepwise, multiple, regression analysis based upon the cross-validation technique. - (IH)
Extrapolation ; Lake ; Quantitative analysis ; Regression analysis ; Sweden
The basic aim is, to provide an estimate of the number of lakes in Sweden. The method to do this concerns transformations, regressions and extrapolations.
