Seeds of Thyme collected in different populations (each of them being polymorphic for the chemical type) were sown in experimental plots located in different environments. The mortality of the seedlings was observed and the composition
of the surviving population was determined. The results allow the authors to build hypothesis about the selective forces acting on this polymorphism.
