Emigration development has put end to the growth of Nord-Pas-de-Calais's population. The changes induced by this situation are restrained by inertia of behaviours, social structures and age distribution. Lastly the unequal intensity of changes
in space slowly modify the population geography of Nord-Pas-de-Calais.
