In the study the most typical Pleistocene periglacial processes, forms and deposits are presented. The final conclusion is that the relief of Hungary was heavily reshaped under periglacial climate and the landforms still preserve much
of their periglacial character. The trend of relief evolution was towards planation in the Pleistocene. (DLO).
The timing of Late Pleistocene mammalian extinctions in North America
More than 375 C dates from 150 fossil sites in North America have been analyzed to evaluate the question of extinction of Late Pleistocene megafauna. When critically evaluated, no C ages for any extinct Pleistocene genera youger than 10,000 yr B.P.
Pleistocene proboscidean fossils recovered from the Bering Land Bridge strengthen the hypothesis that man may have originally colonized the Americas via this route during times of lowered sea level.

An expanded study of the radiolarian Cycladophora davisiana in late-Pleistocene North Atlantic marine sediments shows that over the last several hundred thousand years this species exhibits large variations in relative abundance. High C. davisiana
fossiliferous sections of clays, clayey silts, sands, gravels, and tuffs which were deposited in a predominately fluviatile regime in a Pleistocene structural basin. Four stratigraphic sections, each measuring 110 m or less, were studied to establish a magnetic

Four stages in the Pleistocene development of drainage pattern are identified. By their intensity (and frequency) in space and over time three types of recent geomorphic processes are differentiated. Surfaces of neutral geomorphic evolution

Macrofossils from six late Pleistocene packrat midden samples record a mixed coniferous forest dominated by the xerophytic conifers Juniperus occidentalis, Pinus cf. ponderosa, and P. monophylla. The pollen spectra of these Pleistocene middens
Geology and palaeontology of Pleistocene sediments at Punta Hermengo area (Miramar, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina): some palaeoclimatic aspects in Quaternary of South America Antarctic peninsula. Volume 1.
