Stratified sediments, interpreted to be part of the Courtmacsherry Formation Pleistocene raised beach that overlies a marine rock platform near Fethard, south Wexford, were sampled and dated using the technique of Infra Red Stimulated Luminescence
. These are the first age determinations for the Courtmacsherry Formation itself and, as such, represent an important advance in the development of a chronostratigraphy of the Pleistocene in Ireland.
Dans le sous-sol de la ville de rome, le long du Tibre, on peut noter la présence de sédiments marins du Pliocène et du Pléistocène. L'article comprend également les connaissances biostratigraphiques dont on dispose aujourd'hui sur la zone urbaine

on a spherically symmetric, linear Maxwell-viscoelastic Earth. This method is commonly used to study effects related to the global mass redistributions during the Late Pleistocene glacial cycle.
The use of the geomagnetic polarity time scale in elucidating Pleistocene landscape evolution : an example from South Australia

The application of the geomagnetic polarity time scale to terrestrial Pleistocene sediments in the Adelaide area of South Australia has elucidated landscape evolution. The palaeomagnetic data has also more precisely fixed the timing
Study of seventy well-preserved fossil remains from deposits of an eroded karstic cave in the Upper Galilee of northern Israel. This assemblage probably dates to the Early Toringian (MQ2, Middle Pleistocene). The AA. correlate the carnivore faunule
with some Near Eastern and southern Levantine sites and assume that only a severe cold phase could have shifted these species over the Taurus-Zagros mountain chain this far to the south. This faunule elucidates Pleistocene biotic exchanges between Europe

Two sections exposing a Late Pliocene-Pleistocene sedimentary sequence in the marginal valleys of the Bogotá Basin (Colombian Andes) were sampled for paleomagnetic analysis. Magnetostratigraphy and fission-track dates of tephra beds provide

In recent studies, eolian sediments were recognized along the lower northwest flank of the volcano. Because these wind-laid sediments record an important component of the late Pleistocene volcanic and climatic history of Mauna Kea, they were

An exceptional stratigraphic and pedologic record of Pleistocene environmental conditions occurs at the Kieler Site in the Driftless area of southwestern Wisconsin. Peoria, Roxana, Loveland, and pre-Loveland loesses overlie weathered bedrock

Nerja cave is a karstic cavity used by humans from Late Paleolithic to post-Chalcolithic times. Remains of molluscan foods in the uppermost Pleistocene and Holocene sediments were studied with cluster analysis and principal components analysis
