- The power of commemorative street names
- The A. explores the semiotic and political operation of commemorative street names. He sheds light on the procedures of the naming and the renaming of streets. He elaborates on how street names, in addition to their role in the spatial organization
- and semiotic construction of the city, are also participants in the cultural production of shared past. He uncovers commemorative street names as a powerful mechanism for the legitimation of the sociopolitical order.

- The emergence of standardized, idealized, and placeless landscapes in Midwestern main streets postcards

- from books, personal collections, and Internet auction sites. There was a disconnect between picture postcard and reality, and an increased importance of connotative signs unifying a homogenous Main Street ideal. Three distinct eras of manipulation
- Distance perception of consumers in shopping streets
- The empirical study analyses the different variables which might influence the consumer's perception of the length of shopping streets. It can be shown that the accuracy of distance estimations in the CBD does not depend on the individual's level
