turnover. The input-output model described in this article can be used to assess both the total amount and the composition of the turnover, which results from a specified differentiation of construction programs. A crucial step in the construction
of the model is the delimitation of spatial and sectoral sub-markets. The spatial sub-markets are derived by means of cluster-analysis. Loglinear analysis is used to assess the sectoral sub-markets and to evaluate the linkages among these sub-markets.

are identified. The results of the spatial analysis are compared with wave-models of urban growth. These latter are criticized for their lack of spatial differentiation according to migrant-groups. Finally some implications for spatial policies are indicated.
