According to Hainan Island's biological characteristics, and existing structure of productivity of tropical crops and local climatic conditions, this paper carries on regional division of tropical crops by fuzzy mathematics. Based on calculation
of basic parameters for the formation of production, near-term optimum models of tropical crops structure of each region was established by means of multi-objective programming.
Initiation and evolution of a large karst depression population consisting of parent and daughter dolines were spatially and temporally modeled using logistic growth functions. Seven assumptions based upon previous studies were refined
into mathematical statements and tested using more than 2000 dolines from a subpopulation of both parent and daughter karst depressions on the Western Highland Rim and Pennyroyal Plain of Tennessee and Kentucky.

Paper investigates the changing conditions of small villages in Hungary (i. e. villages with less than 500 inhabitants). AA. take into consideration 32 different indicators for their analysis. On the basis of a mathematical analysis the investigated
Morphogenetic classification of river valleys developing in formerly glaciated areas for the needs of mathematical and physical modelling in hydrotechnical projects

This paper deals with proposals of natural models of river valley evolution useful for physical and mathematicalmodelling in hydrotechnical projects. Such models are known from investigations of numerous valley reaches of the Wisla (Vistula) River
and the Odra (Oder) River drainage basins. The proposed classification of model types forms an open system that can be supplemented with new types and subtypes, characteristic for other regions of the world.

The Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) remains the most popular tool for water erosion hazard assessment. This paper analyzes if the USLE could benefit from mathematicalmodel transformations that, on one hand, mitigate the impact of incorrect
input factors and, on the other hand, result in a better fit between model results and observed soil losses. The AA. revisit the original data set and consider the USLE factors as variables rather than their common interpretation as parameters.
A mathematicalmodel of the hydrologic regime of the Upper Nile Basin
This article considers a variety of extensions to, and generalizations of, the basic Wilson family of spatial interaction models. The generalizations are unified in a single, extended family in that they are all derived in the common framework
of information theory, and constrained nonlinear optimization. The extended family is very large when the number of possible combinations of model types and constraints is contemplated.
This paper will present a computer model of a certain class of agricultural systems, termed shifting cultivation systems. The objective of modeling is to demonstrate how such decision rules control overall system behaviour, and to study the response

AA. propose a mathematical equation to measure mean annual stream discharge from small basins within the granitic terrain of the Sierra Navada. - (DWG)
The purpose of this paper is to develop a simple mathematicalmodel of ground flow so as to permit computing the long term steady state flow in rivers as the runoff component of the hydrological cycle.
