Stratification of soil organic C, N and C:N ratio as affected by conservation tillage in two maize fields of China

The work was conducted at 2 field experimental sites in the northeast of China. Soils were Cambisols and continuously cultivated with maize for 12 years (Jianping site, temperate semi-arid climate) and 5 years (Changtu site, temperate sub-humid
correlated with Olsen P. The combination of chemical P and manure P with organic C input is a better strategy to increase soil Olsen P and SOC accumulation on farmland with maize–wheat rotation in northern China.
