This study presents contradictory evidence. Till fabrics, clay minerals, indicator stones, morphology and elevation relationships all can be interpretated to indicate a Saginaw Lobe provenance for surficial drift on the moraine. The moraine
is reinterpreted as a hummocky and pitted (collapsed) outwash plain/kame moraine.

The range of till landforms covered by the present paper includes cover and ground moraines, drumlins and flutings, Rogen landforms, marginal landforms and, in addition, two landform types, the Pulju moraine and the Sevetti moraine, which

The AA. present data on relict marginal moraine morphology and distribution in the Swedish mountains. These data are used to suggest formational conditions for the moraines and palaeoglaciological implications for the final part of the late
Weichselian deglaciation. To that end, they have mapped and classified 234 relict marginal moraines and 233 contemporary glacier moraines for comparison, providing the first comprehensive inventory of marginal moraines in the Swedish mountains.

The morphology, sediments and processes associated with the construction of a moraine along the western margin of the ice-shelf in George VI Sound, Antarctica, are discussed. A conceptual model of the moraine is developed and may help to explain
some features of puzzling horizontal moraines found in formerly glaciated areas.

This paper deals with the morphology and sedimentology of these moraines and sedimentary processes that can be studied at the present glacier ice-cliff. Further, it presents a model for ice-marginal moraine formation in cold and arid glacial
environments and discusses the formation of moraines by polar glaciers which are wholly on partly frozen to their bed. The dynamics of the Mackay glacier and its recent activity are discussed in the light of the evidence of the moraines.

A few morphologically characteristic moraine types are discussed with regard to their regional distribution. These are: Rogen moraine, De Geer moraines, a few other types of transverse ridges, Veiki moraine with its different subtypes
, and drumlinized hummocky moraine. Most of them display a characteristic regional distribution, which gives us a certain zonation of Sweden. The zones are supposed to have a glaciological significance with regard to the last Scandinavian icesheet and its wastage
The AA. review the characteristics of lateral shear margin moraines and present 2 quantitative models for their formation : 1) differential erosion rates related to lateral variations in the stream velocity and 2) lateral incursion from inter-stream
ridges after the thinner stream retreats, where the shear margin moraine is consequently just a terminal moraine of the inter-stream ridge. The conditions that permit shear margin moraines to form are quite constrained. This is consistent
with the infrequent observations of lateral shear margin moraines.
In this paper, deposits in end moraines of the Pomeranian Phase in Western Pomerania, NW Poland are analyzed. Results of detailed research have shown that these end moraines were formed when the ice front was stable. Conditions that appeared
favoured the formation of a supra-glacial ablation till cover on the glacier snout. The process of ablation produced ice-cored moraines. During downwastage of ice cores, the ablation moraines cover was redeposited many times. The process of redeposition
is reflected in the preferred orientation of clasts. Since the process of ablation was continuously present during the formation of end moraine ridges, it is proposed to call them ablation end moraines.

Les poches superficielles de sédiments grossiers observées sur la moraine de Leamington semblent bien être dues à l'action des racines dans l'accumulation fluvioglaciaire. (C. Gaulin).

This paper describes and explains the mass wasting events on the basis of meteorological conditions, morphology of the moraines, and the ice-core. It is proposed that ice-core degradation following decoupling of the moraines from the glacier
and the mass wasting processes represent a final stage in that the development of the veneer moraines.
Notes on till and moraine formation at some Heard Island glaciers

Features of moraines and their sediments were recorded at three glaciers at the northwestern part of the island. They indicated that in these glaciers basal movement has little erosive effect. Erosion with up-transport of debris occurs mainly
at the transition from steeper to lower gradients. Moraines formed there may contain basal till. In other positions moraines are formed mainly of supraglacial debris from rockfalls or wind transport. The moraine sediments are mainly waterlaid or debris flows
This paper reports on relative and absolute age estimates on a sequence of Holocene moraines on the floor of the Jardalen cirque complex near Sandane, western Norway, based predominantly upon simple and inexpensive field criteria. The available soil
development rates for this part of Norway are used to calculate moraine ages and to construct an absolute chronology for the moraine sequence, which is compared to a previously published lichenometric chronology for the same cirque basin.
