This paper focuses on the coastal plain, including three younger deltas, i.e. the delta near Tiajin, the modern delta, and the abandoned delta. In the first two deltas, land subsidence, both natural and man-induced, is serious, and local sea-level
rise is mainly a result of land subsidence. The major direct impacts of relative sea-level rise on the Yellow River Delta are submergence and salinity increase.

The purpose of this paper is to reconstruct the Holocene evolution of the digitate fluvial delta on Middle Creek, Narrabeen Lagoon, NSW. Therefore the landforms of the delta plain were mapped, historic delta changes were determined
by photogrametrically comparing 1951 and 1994 vertical air photographs, and the lithofacies of the delta plain were constructed from shallow hand-auger holes and deep boreholes.
