This paper reviews what is known about the last and penultimate interglaciations in northern Manitoba, concentrating on an inventory of the interglacial sites, including diagrammatic descriptions of each site, and more detailed descriptions
of the interglacial units. The Manitoba non-glacial units are correlated with similar deposits from other parts of the Hudson Bay Lowlands and some conclusions about the Sangamonian climate and paleogeography are drawn.
Comparison of soils in midwestern United States and western Europe with the interglacial record
Paleosols that formed primarily before the last glaciation cannot be adequately explained by a model of Holocene like interglacial periods of about 10,000 yr in length. Available data on soils formed during the middle and late Pleistocene from

Particle size data from the western part of the Chinese Loess Plateau do not support the last interglacial correlation, suggested by the data from the central part of the Loess Plateau, between the high dust-influx events in the Loess Plateau
