This paper discusses the applicability of constructed wetlands at Triglav national park mountain huts as the way of tackling hydro-ecological problems. This process has many advantages in comparison to the use of classic wastewater treatment plants
. Due to some limiting factors there were 18 out of 36 mountain huts suitable to be included in the research. In this paper the priorities in the process of solving hydro-ecological problems with the use of constructed wetlands are stated, based
on the evaluation of the degree of vulnerability. The analysis shows that present draining and purifying wastewater is not in compliance with the law at none of the mountain huts. This problem can only be solved efficiently by building the constructed wetlands at 12
mountain huts, at 6 of these this process is highly recommended. - (IKR)
