This paper gives an overwiev about the geomorphological effects of climatic changes in the Carpathian Basin during the late Miocene, early Pleistocene period. In this period the climate changed into a semi-desert or an almost desert one which
is explained and justified by geomorphological evidences and mammal remnants by the author. - (JS)
