The interglacial of Frechen I/Rheinland a section of the Tiglian A-Type
Palynological investigations of earliest Pleistocene deposits at Frechen, some ten kilometers West of Cologne permit the dating of these sediments in terms of the Dutch biostratigraphic scale. Of special interest is a newly discovered interglacial
period, termed the Frechen I Interglacial, which indicates a more complicated development of vegetation during the early Tiglian than was hitherto thought. (AIS).
