Doline Karst occurs in the upper catchments of the Tsondab, Gaub and Kuiseb rivers in the central Namib. The karst extends from the Escarpment foot westwards decreasing in density and altitude for 40 to 50 km. The existence of this well-developed
the Rungwe volcanic field. A major phase of faulting then initiated a prolonged period of erosion and possible Early Stone Age artefacts are found on the resulting gravels at the foot of the western escarpment. Middle Stone Age artefacts are most abundant
