An orogenic sequence of sedimentary, volcanic metamorphic and plutonic rocks, truncated by a major middle to upper Paleozoic erosion surface occurs throughout the Transantarctic Mountains. Along its length the belt shows considerable variations
in both tectonic style and timing. Relationships discussed in the paper suggest a migrating tectonic cycle from the African to the Australian sector of Gondwana from the late Precambrian through the middle Paleozoïc.
Orogenetic geosynclinal and magmatic cycles are controlled by worldwide lateral motions. To the end of herzynian cycle are in the area of Werdau-Hainichen trough and permocarboniferous basins in the northwestern part of CSSR eight or ten changes

between the sedimentary cycles characterising the CPAST during the Oligocene-Early Miocene and those almost coeval of the Betic-Rifian internal units highlights their quite similar evolution. Thus it is reliable that both the orogenic belts originated from
continuous paleogeographic realms. It confirms that the present western Mediterranean Chains were originally segments of a continuous orogenic belt disrupted by the opening of the Balearic and Tyrrhenian basins.
Proposal for a new complete classification of the Earth's evolution in accordance with periods of geotectonic cycles, depending on the external cosmic influence of the galactic year. It has been elaborated as an additional application of a system
model. Its basic idea is the principle of a hierarchical division and recurring cycles. It allows a new view to be used when evaluating the last stages of the Earth's history during the Phanerozoic for which comparatively more geological information

This paper simulates how the shapes of the hypsometric curves change through mountain building resulting from concurrent tectonics and denudation. Next, it discusses the relationship of the hypsometric curve to the stage of a geomorphic cycle
Based on the distribution of thickness of Namurian, Westphalian, Stephanian, Autunian and Saxonian in Central and NW-Europe the authors try to paleotectonically indicate the end of the geosynclinal stage of the Variscan geotectonical cycle

An attempt is made to connect the structural development and the formation of deposits in the postvariscan Central Europe to the cycle of mantle-crust-updoming in the time of Permian-Triassic and Jurassian-Cretaceous period. (HL).
