Collection of articles oriented toward the rising of regional powers in Indochina. From the 1990’s the Chinese giant awakened. Some authors are lofty with praise while others shrill with alarm. However, everyone agreed that China would be the next
“number one” on the planet. India appears also as an emergency force to control with. Today the debate is essentially centered on the future of Sino-Japanese relation. In Southeast, the world witnesses a struggle for regional leadership between China
and Japan. It is merely a matter of time before the Middle Empire surpasses the Empire of the Rising Sun. Meanwhile China extends its economic control on Indochina. - (GL)

The A. pays attention to the increasingly visible presence of Chinese interest in Burma. It states that China within a few years has managed to establish control over a major part of its natural and energy resources critical to its development
. China became a top trading partner, far surpassing Thailand and India. At the strategic level, China intends to acquire access to the Indian Ocean. This strategy is dependent on heavy migration of Chinese, especially to the North and the city of Mandalay

The AA. used a radiation-transfer equation estimate of July surface temperatures (Ts) in China's Yongding River basin based on thermal infrared Landsat TM images from 1987 and 2005 and Landsat ETM+ images from 2000. Based upon the Ts–NDVI

Based on the notable characteristic of spatial imbalance between energy production and consumption in China, this paper takes the evolution of China’s primary energy resources development(excluding hydropower) from 1949 to 2007 as the study object
, with the aim to sum up the evolutive characteristics and laws of China’s energy resources development in the past nearly 60 years. Then, based on considerations of coal’s, oil’s and natural gas’s basic reserves, qualities, geological conditions, production
